How to make suji ka halwa recipe without sugar

Suji ka halwa is one of the most popular Indian desserts eaten by peoples regularly at their homes. This popular dessert is made especially by the Indian peoples at the time of winters. Across the country, this recipe is made according to the local taste of the peoples. But some peoples made this amazing dessert on special occasions like festivals, ceremonies and lots more. 

 

So let’s check out the amazing recipe of this tasty dessert:  

 

 Ingredients:


➡️ Sooji/Rawa(Semolina): 2 cups

 

➡️ Desi Ghee (clarified butter): 2 big serving spoons 


➡️Sugar-Free: as required


➡️Cardamom powder: 1 tsp


➡️Almonds: 10 (copped into sliced)


 ➡️Cashew-nuts: 10 (chopped into slices)


 ➡️Raisins: 10 pieces


➡️Water: 4 cups


Preparation:


➡️First of all heat a pan on a low flame and add suji on it. 


➡️Roast the suji till it turns golden brown or the whole kitchen smells of roasted suji. In this step, you need to keep stirring the suji for 10 to 12 minutes to make it a little bit brown.


➡️After this step, turn the flame off and let the suji cool. 


➡️Now take another pan, and add and heat desi ghee in that for a couple of minutes. After that add all the dry fruits in that pan and roast them in that ghee, until they become golden brown. 


➡️Add roasted suji in that dry fruit pan and mix well. Keep stirring the suji and make sure no dry lumps are left. 


➡️Keep stirring the suji mixture on low flame, and then add the 1tsp cardamom powder in that mixture. If you want to add crushed cardamom rather than powder than you can use that also. 


➡️Continue stirring the whole mixture. Make sure your flame is low so that your mixture won’t stick to the pan. 


➡️After that take another pan, add 4 cups of water in that and warm a little bit.


➡️After 1 minute add that warm water in the sooji mixture, slowly and slowly. Keep on mixing while adding the water.


➡️After adding water, stir the sooji mixture 4 to 5 minutes on a low flame and add sugar (only if required) otherwise you can add sugar-free or you can make it with no sugar as well.


➡️Once the water is added, it is very important to mix the sooji so that no lumps are formed in that. 


➡️Let the suji mixture cook for 5 to 6 minutes on the low flame and let the sooji absorbs the whole water and thickens up. 
Now your suji halwa is ready to serve. If you want to add saffron in that, then just add some strands of saffron and other dry fruits for garnishing. 
 
Tasty suji halwa is ready to serve.
